Geneva hosted the 2nd World Forum of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on Space Sustainability – Space Sustainability Forum 2025 – on 7-8 October 2025.
The Intersputnik delegation took part in the Space Generation Congress 2025 and the 76th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2025), which were held from 25 September to 3 October 2025 in Sydney, Australia.
Intersputnik has become the Satcomrus Awards 2025 winner in the "Cooperation Without Borders" category, and Intersputnik’s Director General Ksenia Drozdova has been awarded for her substantial contribution to the development of SATCOMRUS, the leading satellite discussion platform.
On 8–9 September 2025, in Almaty (Kazakhstan), Intersputnik took part in the international forum Space Days Kazakhstan, a key event dedicated to various areas of the space industry development in Central Asia. In the framework of the forum’s business programme and during a number of meetings with experts, Intersputnik’s delegates discussed a wide range of issues related to the implementation of joint space projects in Kazakhstan and neighbouring countries.
In early September 2025, Intersputnik presented the book Azerbaijani Carpet by Roya Tagiyeva in Baku, which was first published in Russian with the aid of the Organization. This event is a follow-up to a series of Intersputnik’s initiatives aimed at the development of cultural relations between its Member States.
On 3 September 2025, in Baku (Azerbaijan) Intersputnik jointly with ITU and Azercosmos held a seminar “Orbital Synergy: Global Perspectives on Space Connectivity” dedicated to industry capacity building for experts from Azerbaijan and other ITU and Intersputnik member states.
On 4–5 July 2025, Intersputnik delegation was actively involved in the European Space Generation Workshop 2025 (E-SGW 2025) in Toulouse. The event was arranged by the Space Generation Advisory Council.
Intersputnik participated and had a series of meetings at the APSAT 2025 conference, one of the key satellite communications forums in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC). The event was held in early June in Jakarta (Indonesia) and was dedicated to the development of Indonesian national market for satellite communications and broadcasting, one of the world’s largest markets.
The Intersputnik International Organization of Space Communications and the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation.
