On April 2nd 2025, Intersputnik in partnership with Satellite Market and Research, a California-based publishing firm and online portal specializing in the global satellite industry, will hold an international online conference NatSatTel 2025 focusing on the theme of “Key Trends and Opportunities in the Global Satellite Industry”.
On 11–13 March 2025, Varadero, Cuba hosted the Global Youth Summit 2025 focused on enhancing the role and importance of youth in the growth of digital economy and communications sector, and maintaining a multi-faceted dialogue between generations of ICT talents from various parts of the world.
Intersputnik became a silver sponsor of the Global Youth Summit 2025 (GYS-25), one of the most important events of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) aiming to increase the role and image of young employees in the ICT industry.
On 31 January 2025 in Almaty (Kazakhstan), Ksenia Drozdova, Intersputnik Director General, met with Malik Olzhabekov, Vice-Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Damir Seissembekov, Chairman of the Telecommunications Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The meeting was held with the participation of Natalia Mochu, Regional Director for CIS Region of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and was arranged in the framework of the Digital Almaty 2025 forum.
Intersputnik has become a member of the Asia-Pacific Space Community Council (APSCC), a leading regional organisation uniting major satellite market players in the Asia-Pacific region.
The workshop “Space communications activities in today's world: opportunities, innovations and future” took place in Almaty (Kazakhstan) on 1 February 2025, as part of the Digital Almaty – 2025 forum and exhibition.
Intersputnik presents a deluxe edition dedicated to the cultural diversity of the Organization's Member States. The release of the book named "Colourful Universe: National Traditions and Crafts" is timed to coincide with the 53rd anniversary of the establishment of Intersputnik (15 November 1971).
Intersputnik, in partnership with DalKom Somalia, participated in the largest regional exhibition and conference dedicated to current trends in the field of ICT technologies on the African continent – AfricaCom 2024. The joint stand presented state-of-the-art solutions for the development of high-tech satellite infrastructure, connecting remote areas and providing up-to-date satellite services in African countries.
From 21 to 31 October in Geneva (Switzerland), the Intersputnik delegation took part in the 55th meeting of Working Party 4A “Efficient orbit/spectrum utilization for the fixed-satellite service and broadcasting-satellite service” of the Radiocommunication Sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-R).
The International Symposium “Developments in Space Communications – the Regional Balance and Challenges” was held in Sharjah (UAE) on 5–7 November. It was organised by the Asia-Pacific Space Cooperation Organization (APSCO) with the support of the University of Sharjah and the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences.
