As part of its activities aimed to promote the strengthening and development of comprehensive economic, scientific, technical and cultural relations, Intersputnik strives to develop international cooperation in all possible areas, not limited to the satellite communications industry. It is a common knowledge that, to better understand any nation one should turn to its history, traditions and culture. Cultural ties are the shortest path to mutual understanding and respect between peoples, which are essential for cooperation. For this reason, when implementing cultural projects, Intersputnik, which unites countries from Asia, America, Africa and Europe, always strives to emphasise the uniqueness and national character of its member countries.

Knowledge of the cultural heritage and traditions of one’s own country and partner countries is crucial for any expert not only in the field of satellite communications, but also in the broader STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field. This creates the foundation for better mutual understanding and successful international cooperation.

Since 2023, Intersputnik has regularly organised projects with the participation of creative people: artists, designers, photographers, writers from Intersputnik Member States and other countries. Most of them are implemented as part of the Youth Far Beyond Borders project.
