The exhibition was organised with the assistance of the Ministry of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Altynai Osmo is an artist whose work focuses on the intergenerational memory, feminine power and the cosmology of nomadic art conveyed through the lens of Central Asian cultural heritage. Her work is a striking example of the continuation of national cultural traditions of nomadic peoples in contemporary art.

Altynai deals with sculpture, installations, textiles, armour, performances and videos, drawing on traditional materials such as felt, metal, bread and silver. For the artist, they are important not only as elements of craft, but also as bearers of historical and cultural memory.

Combining delicacy with inner strength, Osmo's work blurs the boundaries between art, craft and social commentary. And thus, they fit very organically into the theme of Intersputnik’s Youth Far Beyond Borders project.

Altynai also works extensively with creative Kyrgyz youth, helping them promote their innovative ideas and brands by organizing exhibitions and festivals, particularly with the QOORCHAQ youth brand.
