Results of the joint 54th session of the Board and 29th session of the Operations Committee of Intersputnik
The joint 54th session of the Board and 29th session of the Operations Committee of the Intersputnik International Organization of Space Communications took place on 9 June 2026.
Half a century ago, it was beyond our imagination that technologies initially developed for space exploration would seamlessly integrate into our daily lives: Teflon coating, zippers, Velcro, wireless tools, solar panels, artificial hearts, dental braces, satellite Internet and TV, navigation, and more. Soon, every smartphone will have access to satellite communication channels. Space explorers envision that the technology introduced should liberate humanity from mundane tasks, preventing global challenges and fostering personal development.
