This gift edition dedicated to the cultural diversity of the Organization’s Member States is timed to coincide with the 53rd anniversary of Intersputnik (15 November 1971).
The book is in the form of a colourful deluxe album in English. Intersputnik aspires to contribute to the development of international cultural exchange by presenting to a wide audience the diversity of the cultural heritage and traditions of Member States located in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
The cover of the book features a fragment of a carpet based on the sketch of the Azerbaijani artist Vusalya Yunusova. This emotional work reflects the vision of young creative people about the possibilities and inspiring beauty of the Cosmos. Vusalya Yunusova's work, demonstrating a new vision and a new youth approach to traditional national crafts, has become a mascot for the Youth Far Beyond Borders project implemented by Intersputnik since 2022.
In the preface to the book, Intersputnik’s Director General Ksenia Drozdova noted: “We want to introduce our readers to the beauty of traditional crafts, as well as the creative directions pursued by artisans from our Organisation’s Member States. This is our contribution to the modern understanding of cosmism. We believe that cultural ties, sustained traditions and the beauty of masterpieces created by the peoples inhabiting different continents of the Earth will be the foundation for the cities of the future on distant planets.”
