The event was held on 8 November 2023 in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. It was attended by delegations of the RCC full members: Communications Administration of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Intersputnik as an observer to the RCC.

The meeting focused on the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the RCC countries; completion of preparations for the World Radiocommunication Conference 2023; intensification of cooperation in the creation and further development of the information community; interaction of the CIS countries in the course of digital transformation; combating fraud in the info-communication environment; creation of a basic organisation of the CIS member states coordinating and ensuring work in the field of information and communication technologies. Intersputnik supports the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications and its activities aimed at comprehensive assistance to cooperation and development of mutually beneficial relationship between countries of Central Asia and Eastern Europe.

The Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications was established by the Communications Administrations of the CIS states to broaden cooperation and to coordinate actions of these states in the field of telecommunications and postal services. The Board of the Communications Administrations Heads of the RCC unites the Communications Administrations of states, the majority of which are also Member Countries of Intersputnik.

Since 2007, Intersputnik has been holding an observer status in RCC. Representatives of the Organization regularly participate in the meetings of the Board of the Communications Administrations Heads of the RCC. They are also members of various working groups and committees within the RCC. Such as the Working group on satellite technologies under the Telecommunications and Infocommunication Operators Board, the Working group for the revision of regulatory documents of the RCC, the Commission on the coordination of the international cooperation, the Commission on the regulation of the usage of the radio frequency spectrum and satellite orbits, and the Commission on the development of the information society and digital transformation, as well as the Expert Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS countries and RCC.

As a member of RCC, Intersputnik may leverage its potential as a vehicle to streamline its interaction with both the Member Countries and other nations, as well as with the global business community across various areas of its activities.
