Over its thirty-year history, this successful regional forum has expanded far beyond the Middle East. Currently, the forum covers regions with the fastest-growing markets of satellite communications and generally the telecom industry: the Middle East, Africa, Central and Southeast Asia.

Intersputnik employees noticed the growing interest of the exhibition visitors in the deployment of commercial and national satellite communications networks, the use of satellite technologies to bridge the digital divide, and the use of satellite solutions in a number of related industries such as agriculture, fisheries, natural resource monitoring, transport and logistics, energy, and etc.
