She introduced Intersputnik's initiatives in collaboration with specialised international organizations, the prospects for supporting young employees, and Intersputnik's capabilities for promoting state-of-the-art digital applications. The main topics of the event were expanding the capabilities of the space industry and international cooperation for the benefit of the space economy of developing countries. Intersputnik took part in APSCO’s key annual event to continue the development of cooperation between the two international organisations in pursuance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed at the joint session of the Intersputnik Council and Operations Committee in Laos this May.
APSCO is an intergovernmental organization striving to promote the development of joint space programmes of Member States by creating a framework for cooperation in the field of peaceful applications of space science and technology. In its activities, Intersputnik also relies on international cooperation to develop economic, scientific and technological relations through the use of space communications. Both organizations are actively collaborating within the international relations system at venues of the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), the International Astronautical Federation, etc. APSCO and Intersputnik, following similar principles, intensely promote the development of equal and transparent international cooperation, the exchange of experience, the advancement of educational programmes and support for young employees, as well as the implementation of innovations in space technology to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Both organizations pay special attention to developing countries, which make up the majority of members of both Intersputnik and APSCO.
Intersputnik also has extensive expertise in satellite communications and actively participates in the activities of International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN's specialised agency for communications and digital technologies. In recent years, due to the rapid development of satellite communications constellations, the ITU's activities in regulating relations between space industry players have become increasingly important. Asia-Pacific region is an important area of cooperation for Intersputnik. In addition to participating in APSCO events, in 2025, Intersputnik has become a full-fledged member of the regional industry association of satellite communications operators –Asia-Pacific Space Community Council (APSCC).
APSCO Leadership Development Forum, where Intersputnik Director General gave a speech, aims to foster the exchange of ideas and dialogue on current issues, challenges and opportunities for government, public, commercial and academic entities interested in developing the space industry. Organisers of the event aim to provide information on key aspects of space commercialisation and regulation, the use of artificial intelligence in space applications, education in space technology, and the development and financing of the space industry in developing countries.
In her presentation at the forum's plenary session, Ms. Drozdova spoke in detail about Intersputnik and ITU joint initiatives to promote young employees. In particular about the agreement signed in November 2025, which opened a new page in the history of close relations between the ITU and Intersputnik, dating back to 1983. In her speech, she emphasised the importance of promoting and training personnel as a global mission of human potential development and the role of international cooperation in this process. Intersputnik is consistently strengthening its position as a leading player in the space community, developing and implementing modern concepts for using satellite communications to create digital ecosystems in areas with underdeveloped information and communications infrastructure. As an international organization, Intersputnik accumulates the experience of various countries and regions, taking into account their economic and ethnocultural peculiarities.
The APSCO forum delegates included representatives from Asia-Pacific and other countries interested in developing space technologies to improve the quality of life of their population: Bangladesh, China, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Peru, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan, etc. Representatives of UN agencies –United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) – also took part in the event.
