In accordance with Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations (UN), the Agreement of 15 November 1971 on the Establishment of the Intersputnik International System and Organization of Space Communications was registered with the UN Secretariat on 27 March 1973 under No. 12343.

Intersputnik and RASCOM held a training webinar for Africa

On 2–4 September 2026, Intersputnik and the Regional African Satellite Communications Organization (RASCOM) arranged an international webinar, SatCom Basics, dedicated to the fundamentals of satellite communications in the format of an online training course for telecom experts. The event was attended by nearly 200 representatives from 41 African countries.
